Expensive Chinese food riles people up almost as much as expensive Mexican food.
“WHY??” People protest!
Chinese food should be under $10 and include egg drop soup and an egg roll! Always!
And when it doesn’t? All hell breaks loose.
Hao Noodle is a very lovely, spacious Chinese eatery in the West Village that serves tea in delicate glass containers that I was 120% certain I was going to break. How one did not end up on the floor, shattered to bits is anyone’s guess.
Was it expensive? On the higher end, yes. Not too bad though. Was it delicious? Well, it was very tasty. Which I believe is a step down from delicious.
Yet, still worth trying. We tried 3 dishes and had some tea and got out of there for $25 each, including tip. Not too bad. But we were not stuffed to the gills, in a MSG-ridden coma, like usual.
For some, this would be considered a Chinese Food Fail (CFF).
